MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
BETTO SWELL ACR is a new generation water-repellent joint tape that expands when in contact with water thanks to its three-dimensional polymer chain structure.

• Water tanks,

• In all kinds of structures exposed to sea water,

• Tunnel segments,
• In cold joints where shear concretes meet foundations,
• Where steel profiles and pipes come into contact with
concrete,
• It is used as a water retaining flange on PVC pipe
inlets and outlets.
APPLICATION METHOD
BETTO SWELL ACR should be fixed to the center axis of the
section to be applied with MS Polymer Sealant. Joints should be min.
10 cm should be overlapped side by side. Before pouring concrete, the
product should be checked on site for damage.
Note: Self-adhesive types are available according to preference.

ADVANTAGES
• BETTO SWELL ACR does not damage the fresh concrete by
swelling at an ideal speed when it encounters water.
• It is easier to apply than conventional waterstop tapes and
minimizes the negative risks that may arise from labor.
• As it expands, the new generation of three-dimensional
polymer chains that make up its structure maintain their
homogeneity and stability.
• Expansion continues up to 300% - 600% - 900% depending on
the type.
• This dimensional change allows the material to form a water barrier
and fill possible gaps in the reinforced concrete structure.
• Resistant to various chemicals and sea water.
• Resistant to oil, fuel oil and various solvents.
• Resistant to waters containing high salt concentration.
• Its molecular structure is not affected by the volume expansion
caused by the freezing of the water it takes in.
• Resistant to microorganisms.
• BETTO SWELL ACR is available in 3 types as Red 300% /
Yellow 600% / Blue 900%.
• BETTO SWELL ACR RING, Hydrophilic Ring and BETTO
SWELL ACR PLUG, Hydrophilic Plug are also available for the
drill holes. 300 % in 7 days, Wet/dry difference > 300 % Water
pressure resistance (14 days) 7 bar, Colors Blue - Red;
